Norwegian with strong passenger growth in July
Norwegian had over 2.2 million passengers in July, the highest number since the outbreak of the pandemic. Norwegian operated 99.7 percent of its scheduled flights with a load factor of close to 95 percent, the highest in several years.
1.2 million passengers travelled with Norwegian in October
Norwegian’s traffic figures for October show a continued increase in the number of passengers and for the first time since the pandemic broke out more than one million passengers travelled with the company during a one month period. Norwegian (NAS) today reported its fourth quarter and full year 2011 results. The company experienced a passenger growth of 20 percent and carried 15.7 million passengers in 2011. The load factor increased by 2 percentage points to 79 percent.
Norwegian wins major contract with the Norwegian Armed Forces
Norwegian wins new major contract with the Norwegian Armed Forces for domestic and international travel. The contract will take effect as of January 2012 and is valid for three years. The Armed Forces is Norwegian's single largest customer today and the Defence Contract is the largest contract airlines compete for in Norway.
Norwegian increases long haul fleet to six Dreamliners
Norwegian has entered into a Letter of Intent to lease a further new Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, bringing the total number of such aircraft on order to six. The six aircraft are part of Norwegian’s set up for long haul operations.
Norwegian has mandated aircraft financing to ING for a total of 3 billion NOK
Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA has mandated ING on a USD 550 million financing facility. The facility covers term financing for 11 Boeing 737-800 HGW which are scheduled for delivery between summer 2011 and end of 2012 and pre-delivery financing for aircraft delivering during the same period.
Passenger record for Norwegian in June
Norwegian reports its best passenger figures ever in June. Close to 1.5 million passengers flew with the airline last month, a passenger growth of 19 percent compared to June 2010. The load factor was record high, at 81 percent.
Strong Passenger Growth for Norwegian in May
Norwegian’s passenger growth continues in May as close to 1.4 million passengers flew with the airline. This is an increase of 16 percent compared to the same period previous year. During the past year, more than 14 million passengers have flown with Norwegian.
Norwegian reports record profit of NOK 733 million
Today Norwegian presents a pre-tax profit of NOK 733 million, which is the best result in a single quarter in the company´s history. Compared to the same quarter last year the unit cost is significantly reduced and the number of passengers increased by as much as 25 percent.

Norwegian expands in Finland with 100 weekly flights
The airline Norwegian opens a Finnish base at Helsinki’s Vantaa airport. At the same time it introduces two domestic routes and expands the current international offer from two to eleven. Three aircraft will be based in Helsinki.
Norwegian continues its expansion in Sweden
Norwegian continues its expansion in the Swedish market as a ninth aircraft will be based at Stockholm’s Arlanda airport in September. As a result Norwegian will double its capacity from Stockholm Arlanda to London and Helsinki in addition to increasing its number of daily flights to Copenhagen from five to six.
Norwegian reports passenger record in May
Norwegian reports the highest passenger number ever in May. Close to 1.2 million passengers flew with the airline last month. The traffic figures show that air travel is back to normal after European Authorities closed major parts of European airspace in April. The company had a passenger growth of 25 percent compared to May 2009.
New ash inspection routines approved by the authorities
Norwegian is pleased that the authorities are now opening the airspace to normal flight operations and is committed to operating a normal schedule as soon as possible. The airline has put in place stringent technical aircraft inspection routines for detecting volcanic ash. These procedures were approved by the Civil Aviation Authority – Norway on Tuesday evening.

Norwegian's Traffic Figures March 2010
The total number of passengers flown in March 2010 was 1,021,063 compared to 787,003 last year, an increase of 234,060 passengers (30 %). Compared to the same period last year: - Total passenger traffic (RPK) increased by 38 % - Total capacity (ASK) increased by 34 % - The load factor was 78 %, up 3 p.p.
30 per cent passenger growth for Norwegian in March
Norwegian continues its strong passenger growth. In March, 1 021 063 passengers chose to fly with Norwegian, a 30 percent increase from the same period last year. In line with the number of passengers and total production, the load factor improved by 3 percentage points.
28 per cent passenger growth for Norwegian in January
Norwegian continues the strong passenger growth. In January, Norwegian transported 827 743 passengers which is a 28 percent increase from the same period last year.
10.8 million passengers flew with Norwegian in 2009
Norwegian experienced strong passenger growth last year and flew 18 per cent more passengers than the previous year. In total, 63 new routes were established; 30 in Denmark, 18 in Sweden and 15 new routes in Norway.
