  • Norwegian to lease ten new Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft

    Norwegian continues to expand its aircraft fleet and has entered into agreements with AerCap to lease aircraft, of which ten are new Boeing 737 MAX 8, to be delivered in the first half of 2023.

  • Norwegian enables corporate customers to reduce emissions from business travel

    Norwegian has entered into a collaboration agreement with Neste, the world’s leading producer of sustainable aviation fuels (SAF). Norwegian’s corporate customers can now reduce their CO2 emissions from business travel by up to 80 per cent through sustainable aviation fuel. The agreement is an important step in accelerating a voluntary market for such fuels.

    Traffic figures for January show that almost 640,000 passengers flew with Norwegian during the month. This represents a significant increase compared to the same month last year.

    Norwegian's monthly traffic figures for December show that more than 930,000 passengers flew with Norwegian. This represents a significant increase compared with the same month in 2020, however, the month of December was also strongly affected by government-imposed measures and restrictions.

    Norwegian's traffic figures for November show that for a second consecutive month over one million passengers travelled with Norwegian. Adjustments to our capacity and route network for the winter season have been well adapted to customer demand.

    For almost 15 years, Norwegian has had a partnership with UNICEF Norway. Norwegian has contributed with humanitarian actions, fundraising campaigns and donations from customers and employees.     Norwegian’s traffic figures for October show a continued increase in the number of passengers and for the first time since the pandemic broke out more than one million passengers travelled with the company during a one month period. Demand has continued to respond well and our customers appreciate our direct flights to popular destinations in the Nordic countries and across Europe.

  • Norwegian removes all temporary CashPoints restrictions

    Norwegian is pleased to announce that temporary restrictions on the use of CashPoints will be lifted from Monday 1 November. The company previously announced that the temporary restrictions would cease when the market improves, due to the number of travellers increasing in recent months and a positive trend in forward bookings it is time to reopen the program in its original form.
