AIRCRAFT ACQUISTION

Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA has today extended its current aircraft order with Boeing Commercial Airplanes for an additional 15 Boeing 737-800 to be delivered between 2015 and 2018.

The total order for purchased aircraft now stands at a total of 78 whereof 19 have been delivered. Norwegian has 12 remaining purchase rights for aircraft of the type.

In addition to the 19 direct-buy 737-800s already delivered, Norwegian also operates 22 leased 737-800s and 17 737-300s. As per June 21st the fleet counts a total of 58 aircraft.

The future delivery stream of aircraft is set out below. All future 737 aircraft will be fitted with CFM Evolution engines, Boeing SKY interiors and in-flight Wi-Fi.

2011: 15 Boeing 737-800 (whereof 1 leased)

2012: 13 Boeing 737-800 (whereof 3 leased)

1 Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner (leased)

2013: 10 Boeing 737-800 (whereof 1 leased

3 Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner (whereof 1 leased)

2014: 11 Boeing 737-800

2015: 7 Boeing 737-800

1 Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner

2016: 10 Boeing 737-800

2017: 5 Boeing 737-800

2018: 2 Boeing 737-800

Boeing 737-800: 62 (3 leased)

Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner: 5 (2 leased)

From August this year, all new deliveries will be fitted with CFM Evolution engines which, along with airframe improvements, will reduce emissions by more than 2 per cent, adding to Norwegian's environmentally progressive profile.

Norwegian already offers the all new Boeing SKY aircraft interiors and in-flight WiFi on 9 aircraft. Norwegian will offer fleet wide Wi-Fi coverage from next year.

Aircraft Acquisition

Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA has entered into a Letter of Intent (LoI) with Icelandair for the right to acquire three Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft, which Icelandair currently has on order. With today’s announcement and contract signing Norwegian’s long haul-fleet will count five Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners.

Norwegian to acquire three new Dreamliners

Norwegian has signed an agreement for the right to purchase three Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners. The company has previously entered into an agreement to lease two aircraft of the same type, bringing the total number of such aircraft on order up to five. The Dreamliner is an aircraft for the future, featuring unprecedented passenger comfort, low operating costs and reduced emissions.
